Students
The CT Foundation for Christian Education exists for you. The Foundation was established with the goal of making it possible and affordable for students from all walks of life to have access to a high-quality, K-12 Christian education. There are a number of schools in and around Austin that are currently qualified by the Foundation as eligible for this program and 240 one-time scholarships totaling $60,000 have been award to more eligible students in the following schools:
- Concordia High School (Pflugerville) – 9-12
- Faith Lutheran High School of Central Texas (Warda) – 9-12
- Redeemer Lutheran School (Austin) – K-8
- St. Paul Lutheran School (Thorndale) – K-8
- Zion Lutheran School (Walburg) – K-8
COVID 19: Thanks to a generous donation from Our Savior Lutheran Church, Austin in February 2021, the Foundation was able to award special grants to each of these schools to help defray their costs for responding appropriately to the needs of the students and teachers during the pandemic.
If you are interested in attending one or more of these schools, we encourage you to visit the campus, meet the principal and teachers, and find out if they have openings in the grade you will be attending. Let them know you are interested in a scholarship and discuss both the discounts and options that they can provide as well as your desire to apply for a CT Foundation Scholarship. They should have all of the information you will need in the school office.
Once you’ve decided on a school, complete the scholarship application as prescribed by the school to which you are applying. The School and the Foundation will handle it from there. Once the application is processed, you will be notified of the results and the amount of the scholarship that will be made available to you.
Students who qualify for and receive scholarships are expected to:
- Maintain at least a C average,
- Have no more than five unexcused absences in a year, and
- Behave in accordance with all school policies.
We know you can do it, and each of the eligible schools on the list above have teachers and administrators that are committed to ensuring that you reach your full potential.
How do students qualify for scholarships?
Only students with a demonstrated financial need are eligible for scholarships.
Students must be enrolled in or applying to a School designated by the CT Foundation as being engaged in Biblical Christian
Education.
Demonstrated Financial Need is verified through an application process as stipulated by the School to which the student is applying. Rather than requiring a family to submit two scholarship applications and paying two application fees, CT Foundation will honor the results of scholarship applications as long as those results are based on objective criteria administered by a third party on behalf of the qualifying School.
When the School receives notification that the family qualifies for a scholarship, with the permission of the parent or guardian, the School will forward a copy of the application and the results from the Third Party to CT Foundation for consideration.
The applications and the third party results are kept confidential, and will only be shared among the CT Foundation’s applications committee, the applicant and the eligible School. The amount of scholarship awards by the CT Foundation will depend on the formula calculations and the availability of funds, and in no way will preclude the originating school from offering additional scholarships or discounts to the students.
